This weeks lesson goal/assignment revolves around silverware. Create your best image using the silverware, lights, backdrops, food, etc you have at home. The more creative the better. Below are images from other high school students throughout the world, creating their own vision.
I don’t want to give you too many ideas or examples because I want you to come up with your own creations.
This week’s photo goal is One Light Black & White. Use just 1 light source to create your image. The subject can be either a person or animal. Watch the video below for more details. You can stop at the 2 minute mark.
Images are due this Friday @4PM. Take a look at the instructions page for more details.
Quick reminder that tomorrow you’ll get a short video over camera setup and this weeks assignment.
Also. Didn’t turn in Selfless Portrait. Cutoff time in Schoology is 4PM this Wednesday.
This week you have the assignment to capture a selfless self portrait of yourself. Think of it this way. If you couldn’t be there for an event where other people you didn’t know were going to be there AND you couldn’t have a photo of yourself out for them to see. But your allowed to place items that tell a story about you, what items would you place for others to see?
In a nutshell. What items around your home depict and describe who you are to ones who’ve never met you.
That’s what you are to take a photo of. Look at the examples on the instruction page, make sure you follow the turn-in procedures as well. ALL images due by 4PM this FRIDAY. Any turned in afterwards will be considered late.
This week’s goal is a choice for you to capture. All of which can be done at your home, a neighbors home, or friends home. BUT. And I do mean BUT. From the safest distance possible. You have cameras with incredible quality and editing with awesome features. That completing these images should be great.
If you find that your person is taller. The sidewalk is slopped down or the front door is up some steps. Then get a yourself a stool or step ladder. Some people, Jamari to be exact, to them this won’t be a problem.
Because of the logistics of this assignment it will be due NEXT Friday, April 24th @ 4PM. No exceptions, unless you or someone in your home gets a virus.
Monday’s goal by the end of the day is to have your HOPE assignment posted/uploaded with visual editing AND your information on WHY the items bring you Hope. Below are three examples that have been turned in so far where you can see obvious editing to the images and each placed information with their creations.

Part 2 will information will come later today.
This week’s assignment is all about HOPE. As you will see from Matthew McConaughey what we are dealing with now will one day be over. My intent when posting was that you would be shooting and editing this assignment before this week, but again this week may give way to flowers, rainbows, reflections, sunshine, and more.
Also this week when editing…. YES I said editing . . . . try to make your images look the same. That can be done with toning, contrast, colors, etc. There’s all kinds of ways to make your images appear sync’d together. Need help, I’m only a email, text, or call away.
Reminder that 4PM this Friday your HOPE assignment is due. CP1 that means your collage needs to be posted in Schoology. CP2 & Pract this means yours is to be posted AND an email sent to me stating you posted.
