This week you will be using three different lenses from the Lensbaby company. You will shoot with the Velvet56, Composer Pro2, and Spark. In the end you will post your best 5 images of each lens used. Prepare yourself. Lensbaby lenses are not like regular SLR interchangeable lenses. You will struggle at first. You will think this is just not right? You may even wish bad things about your teacher. Relax. If you love photography and you’ve got just a little creativity it’ll be okay. Breathe.
Below are three separate sections for each lens. There is a small Youtube playlist set for each lens. Watch the playlist that the first day you get the lens. Have the lens and camera in front of you before watching. You may even want to re-watch if you’re shooting a second day.
The goal for you using the Lensbaby Velvet 56 is to shoot and continually shoot images at different f/stops and be creative. Capturing portraits, nature, animals, or architecture. Watch the videos below from Lensbaby and photographers about how to set and the possibilities with the Velvet 56.
The goal for you using the Lensbaby Composer Pro is to shoot and continually shoot images at different f/stops and be creative. Capturing portraits, nature, animals, or architecture. Watch the two videos below from Lensbaby about how to set and the possibilities with the Composer Pro.
The goal in shooting with the Spark is to see how creative you can be with a lens much like the first cameras ever created. Watch the video, and especially the review. She’s got some great tips.
